Intimate A-frame Cabin Wedding | Mount Rainier National Park

Pulling of this intimate Mount Rainier wedding was one of our biggest challenges to date–It kicked our butts but was totally worth it!

Not only had Jessica and Thomas stretched their budget to work with us (which we did not take lightly) but they had also previously booked a 2 person A-frame cabin (without seeing it) for a 25 person celebration…in the PNW…in June. (Ever heard of June gloom?) PLUS we were working with each other long distance. Let’s just say, we had to pull some strings and get a little creative with the logistics on this one!

Jessica and Thomas love the outdoors and fell in love with Washington on a previous trip out here! They wanted a fun, warm, laid-back day with good food, good music and tons of personal touches. Our favorite detail was the crown she wore that belonged to her grandma!

The design was the easy part–Jessica has amazing taste! They wanted a Scandinavian-inspired boho/modern mix and most importantly, wanted to show off the PNW since most of their guests had never visited.

The Ceremony took place up at Paradise, where there was still snow on the ground. Even though the mountain wasn’t out, it was one of the most beautiful ceremonies we’ve seen–Jessica & Thomas’ vows were incredible!

Brothers and Co. catered the wedding and served up their famous ramen and tacos for dinner. As a nod to Thomas’ German heritage, they made soft pretzels as a late night snack!

The weather held out for us, even though the septic tank did not–Something had to go wrong! Thomas’ response? “Shitter’s full!” This is why we love our couples! With the septic situation under control, Jessica, Thomas and their guests partied the night away under a canopy of pines and bistro lights!
