I had the pleasure of helping plan Andrea and Robbie’s wedding and the honor of serving Andrea as a Bridesmaid!
After college, Andrea moved down to San Diego–something she had always talked about doing. After almost a year, she was starting to feel a little homesick. She considered throwing in the towel, to move back up to Washington. That was before she met a handsome, older, police officer out at Singles Night, one Taco Tuesday. Robbie was a little intimidated (rightfully so, Andrea is STUNNING). He left her a note telling her how beautiful she is and how much he enjoyed talking to her. He asked her to lunch and, as they say, the rest is history!
Andrea and Robbie are the couple that makes you want to puke (I can say that because we’re friends!) and the couple you admire most, all at the same time. These two can’t keep their hands off of each other, have a blast together and have the utmost respect for one another. What more can you ask for?! The love between Andrea & Robbie is the kind of love everyone looks for. On the day of their wedding, you could overhear guests (even some married for years) saying things like, “Nobody has every looked at me the way Robbie looks at Andrea.”
Their beautiful Ceremony took place at Bastyr University Chapel and had everyone in tears. Andrea’s two sisters served as co-Maids of Honor and Robbie’s brother was Best Man. The best part of the entire Ceremony was Robbie’s reactions to the Officiant pronouncing them Husband & Wife–someone must play football! But no, really, he was so excited to be married to her! Something you can only hope all of your friends find.
The Reception followed at Hollywood Schoolhouse, in Woodinville. A charming historic building with light wood floors, white walls and tons of natural light. Andrea wasn’t with us for the majority of the planning so she trusted her Mom and I with the details of the big day. Her only request was that we incorporate lavender! The decor was whimsy but simple. Pops of lavender were brought in with flowers and the napkins. We celebrated with the newlyweds on the dance floor and even got a surprise Magic Mike performance from Robbie & his Groomsmen. (Notice, he is missing his shirt during the sparkler exit!)
