Winter National Park Elopement | Mount Rainier

Jennifer and Dan are from the East Coast and when they contacted me about eloping at Mount Rainier National Park in February, I thought one, they hadn’t done their research or two, they were crazy. Either way, I was game! And they turned out to be neither, actually the opposite–complete badasses! Jennifer & Dan met while flying planes–they weren’t afraid of a little snow!

The two of them got ready together in the cutest little yurt-shaped cabin, near the Nisqually entrance. Dan could NOT wait to marry Jennifer!! During the first look we had to physically keep him from peeking. When we finally let him see, everyone was in tears! Jennifer stunned in a red dress and Dan couldn’t take his eyes off her!

I had given Jennifer and Dan fair warning that The Mountain probably wouldn’t be making an appearance that day (The forecast called for snow and temperatures in the teens!) so we went with our backup location. It was an old bridge near Longmire that served as a giant, wooden wedding arch. I couldn’t feel my lips as I was performing their ceremony but I am pretty sure I married them! 😛

After the ceremony, we went on a little snowshoeing adventure for photos. They had never snowshoed before but what better day to try it out than on your wedding day, in wedding attire. Again, badasses!

We all warmed up back at the cabin with their drink of choice, Limoncello and made it official with the stroke of a pen! This day definitely was one for the books!
