Let’s just start by saying, it was worth the 2 year wait!! We knew Scotland was going to be magical but it blew our minds!!! We spent 3 weeks roadtripping through the country and we were lucky enough to have our families tagging along. Showing them what our wedding week was supposed to look like was one of the most special parts of the trip!
Our original plan to get married at the Quiraing, with 20 of our closest family and friends, followed by an intimate dinner at our amazing Airbnb, Lochbay House! Even though only 5 of those people made the trip this time around, it was an incredible feeling to stand on top of the Quirang with them and Ryan! It was even more epic than we could have imagined! We definitely had some feelings but Ryan and I both agreed that even though Covid ruined our original plan to get married here, it all happened exactly the way it was supposed to!
We are so thankful Lynnsey, of Lionlady Photography, traveled all the way to Isle of Skye to photograph our 2nd anniversary photos! She was our wedding photographer and was with us during the crazy first days of the pandemic shutdowns (which included cancelling everything 3 days before flying to Scotland and replanning a wedding in 5 days). We couldn’t have imagined this experience without her!
