Eloping at Mount Baker wasn’t Nicolette & Chris’ original plan but their elopement ceremony, overlooking this alpine lake, was even more beautiful than we could have imaged!
Nicolette & Chris were one of our many couples impacted by Covid-19. They handled the ups and downs with so much grace and it felt like Nicolette helped me through 2020 as much as I helped them–From a surprise Milk Bar cookie delivery to a bottle of whiskey from her hometown in Texas and especially, her encouraging emails/texts every step of the way! She is the most thoughtful human! It was a such blessing during the planning process and showed in all the personal touches throughout their day! Just saying, she recorded a song for Chris and surprised him with it after their ceremony!
Nicolette & Chris got ready at an a-frame cabin, in Glacier, Washington. They shared a private first look and vows before sitting down with their immediate family for a late lunch! Their mini-reception was a paired down version of the larger celebration we had planned. We stuck close to our original design and they still chose to display family photos, had a guest book, did toasts and cut a cake! (Remember, even if you’re eloping, you can still incorporate your favorite wedding traditions into the day!)
After everyone finished eating, we headed up the mountain for a sunset ceremony at one of Washington’s most stunning overlooks! Not only is this location insanely gorgeous, it’s ridiculously accessible–Wheelchair tested! Nicolette & Chris’ pastor officiated the ceremony and they included readings from both of their parents. Their pup, Emery, was also in attendance and was the most well-behaved fur guest (aka the goodest girl) ever!
Nicolette & Chris danced with their parents and ended the day watching the sun go down on Mount Shuksan and Mount Baker!
