I was on the last leg of a drive home from Moab, Utah when I got a call from Henry (of Henry Tieu Photography), asking for a last minute favor. He needed me to officiate an elopement for two of his friends THAT DAY! After he told me their story, I couldn’t say no. I just stepped on it!
DT flew from Vietnam and OT came from Norway to elope here in Washington. They had been living in different countries and this was one of the final stops, on a challenging road for them. Soon, it would be easier for them to be in the same place for good!
We made it official at the popular Gold Creek Pond but miraculously, had the place to ourselves. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen two people happier to freely be themselves, together and in love. Their ear to ear smiles were infectious! It was a day few frills but a whole lot of heart!! It was an absolute honor to be even a small part of their journey.
