Happy Holidays! This gift guide for adventurers & travel lovers includes an assortment of products and brands we love (most that we own ourselves)! Choose from some local PNW faves, eco-friendly products, brands that give back and even gifts for your fur babies!
Stocking Stuffers
LastSwab
We are always looking for ways to live with less (especially after being on the road more) and reduce waste! LastSwab is a reusable and sustainable alternative to single use q-tips!
Cotopaxi Mask
Mask-up but make it fun and bold! Every time you purchase a Cotopaxi product, you make a contribution to the Cotopaxi Foundations, which works to alleviate global poverty. They also partner with factories that prioritize sustainability and fair labor practices and are committed to helping end slavery in the textile and apparel industries!
Miir Pourigami
If you follow us on @thegreatestadventureonwheels, I talk about the Miir Pourigami all the time! I NEEEEEED my coffee and the Miir Pourigami is the quickest and easiest way I’ve found to make coffee on the road, especially in combination w/ Jetboil (see below). It’s lightweight, compact (It fits in your back pocket!) and super easy to clean (I usually just use the last little bit of the boiling water from the Jetboil). Plus, Miir is local to the PNW and they give back portions of their profits to environmental causes!
LifeStraw
This personal straw filter is a must-have for hiking packs and emergency kits! It protects against bacteria, parasites, microplastics, dirt, etc. and will filter over 5,000 gallons of water (enough for 1 person for 5 years)! Your purchase will also give one child safe water for 1 year!
Tile
Find your phone using your keys or find your keys using your phone. If you or someone you’re shopping for is like me and loses anything you set down, you/they need this!
Pass the Pigs
The best game for camping, backpacking & traveling! Lightweight, few pieces, good for 2 or more people, quick to learn and minimal skill involved–Roll the pigs, 1st to 100 wins. Easy! Although, I can promise it will still get competitive!
Black Diamond Headlamp
Any outdoor lover, road tripper, RV lifer needs a headlamp!
America the Beautiful Annual National Parks Pass
The America the Beautiful Annual National Parks Pass should be on everyone’s wish list every year! This pass pays for itself in no time and honestly, because it supports the national parks, I would pay way more for this pass! It’s such a deal! The pass is good for one year and covers one non-commercial vehicle and everyone inside, including RVs!
Gifts That Won’t Break the Bank
Miir Beer Gift Set
For the beer lovers in the family! Miir’s beer gift set includes a vacuum insulated growler, 2 stainless steel pint glasses and 2 vacuum insulated can chillers.
Miir Wine Gift Set
For the wine lovers in the family! Miir’s wine gift set includes a vacuum insulated wine bottle and 2 vacuum insulated tumblers.
Cotopaxti Bataan Fanny Pack
Another Cotopaxi favorite! Great for shorter day hikes or romping around town–I get so many compliments on mine!
Mountain Tech Trekking Poles
I originally got these carbon fiber trekking poles as a birthday gift! I have like 4 different pairs and these are my preferred set! I love the extended grip and the various tips included.
Homesick Candle
We are candle lovers! This Washington candle (and the Seattle candle) make us feel right at home, in the PNW, when we’re on the road! Idaho, Oregon & Northern California are also available in our shop.
REI Pack-away 12 Soft Cooler
Even though we have a fridge in the RV, it’s nice to have a small cooler for day trips to the beach or sunset beers on the edge of some cliff! We were holding out for the YETI Hopper (below) but came across this collapsible cooler at REI and absolutely love it!! It folds into a tote or a cube but lays flat for storage (peeeerfect for the RV) and the price is ridiculously budget-friendly! We are loving it so far! REI claims it will keep cans cool for 32hrs–We haven’t tested it for that long but our beers were still cold after ~8 hours in a hot car!
Eno DoubleNest Hammock
We love being able to throw this hammock in the car or in a pack to hang out in (pun intended) wherever we go! More colors available in our shop.
Rubber Birkenstocks
I wear my rubber Birks more than my normal ones! I love them because they won’t get ruined if they get wet–They’re great campground shower shoes! They’re also like 1/5 of the price of the classic Birks!
JBL Flip 5 Portable Speaker
This is the best little Bluetooth speaker we’ve owned–Impressive sound, compact and waterproof. We use it all the time for our elopement ceremonies!
Jetboil
Ryan & I agree that our Jetboil is one of the best ~$100 we’ve ever spent! Jetboils are compact, lightweight, gas stoves that were made for backpacking in mind. We use ours in the RV (it’s faster than the stove top), when we’re tent or car camping, hiking or catching an early morning sunrise! Again, I use ours almost daily with the Miir Pourigami (above) for my coffee!
Pendleton Cotton Throw Gift Pack
The Pendleton we all love without the price tag of their wool blankets! With these two packs, you can keep one and gift one (I know it will be hard not to keep both)! More colors/patterns available in our shop.
Gifts to Splurge On
YETI Hopper Flip 12 Portable Cooler
This has been my dream cooler forever and while we ended up with the REI cooler because of price and its ability to store flat, we still LOVE this one!
TSL Symbioz Hyperflex Phoenix (Unisex)
Named most comfortable snowshoe on REI’s Best Snowshoes for 2020 List! Made out of recycled plastic, these snowshoes have flexible frames, plenty of traction and heel lift for steeper terrain.
Gifts for Your Furry Family Members
Whyld River Doggybag (Sleeping Bag)
Wolfgang Man & Beast Collar
Ruffwear Dog Booties
Ruffwear Huck-a-Cone
